About

I got my PhD in Media and Communication Studies in October 2008, with a dissertation on Nazi Germany in today´s popular culture. Senior lecturer at Stockholm University, dept. of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMK), mainly within the fields of popular culture/cultural studies and philosophy of science, with a focus on hermeneutics, structuralism, postmodernism, semiotics, and visual culture.

My research interests include cultural studies/popular culture, focusing on visual culture, memory culture, audience studies, and intercultural communication. Especially interested in the construction, meaning and function of worldviews, including knowledge-building, ideology and identity, myths and myth-making, symbolism, religion and esotericism.
